Play is expected to commence as per the schedule and conclude at approximately 5.00pm. Queensland Badminton Association is now seeking nominations for the Qld Under 19 Team To nominate, players must be current members of the QBA (and renew membership to cover the period of the carnival if required) and be in good standing (no outstanding fees with the QBA). All players are required to participate in the tournament on the 16th and 17th April 2016 in Brisbane and compete in the U19 Singles event. The team will be named shortly after the tournament. Queensland Badminton Association is looking for nominations for a Under 19 squad. This squad will be expected to attend nominated training sessions and play in agreed tournaments prior to the event. The selected Qld Under 19 Team will compete in the Australian Under 19 Championships: - When: 1st July - 7th July 2016

It is great to have 17 schools involved. Based on the entries this will be the scheduling for Saturday 16 May 2015. Players are asked to arrive 15 minutes prior to your scheduled first game and check in at the table. The Qld Badminton Association is inviting nominations for the positions of: Qld Open Team Coach/Manager - Qld Open Team Umpire The 2014 Open Team will compete in Geelong, VIC. The team will travel on the 29/08 and return on the 7/09. The Open Team will be announced later this week. Please note: To perform the role of Team Coach/Manager you must be a current National Accredited Coach and to perform the role of umpire you must be an accredited umpire. Please note these positions are volunteers. These two positions will stay with the team. The Qld Badminton Association is hoping to have a representative team travel to the 2014 CP Maddern Carnival and U19 Australian Championships. Details of this Carnival can be found below and travel may be required a day or two prior: QLD U19 Team will compete in Perth, Western Australia 5th - 12th July 2014. To be eligible for you must be under the age of 19 years as at 31/12/14 i.e. you can be 18 years or under Requirement: You must had make yourself available for selection in your age group in order to be considered for an older age group No pricing has been received from the host association as yet on the price of opening dinners, carnival shirts, photos etc. Our best guess of the price for the Under 19 is $1350-$1550 per player (less any fundraising). Please note: If selected in a team you will be required to pay an initial deposit (of approximately $350) within three weeks (of the team announcement). Payment arrangements are usually arranged of three to four instalments over 3- 5 months. Squad Training sessions have been organised as follows: Saturday 8 March 2014 1.00- 3.30pm (optional to attend)
Sunday 13 April 2014 2.00- 5.00pm (this may be a selection trial so attendance will be compulsory)
Saturday 10 May 2014 1.00- 3.30pm ($5 per player to cover shuttles) These sessions will all have 2 to 3 coaches in attendance (volunteering their time) Please note: You must be a full member of QBA in order to attend the trainings. Nominations must be received by the QBA on the official nomination form by the 8th of December 2012. The team will be selected according to the QBA Policy for State Teams Selection.
